Gili Lankanfushi Maldives 2023 | 馬爾地夫綺麗蘭坎福希度假村 | Full Resort Tour 4K 60fps We visited five resorts in Maldives in March 2023, including Gili Lankanfushi, Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru, Waldorf Astoria, St. Regis Maldives and Kudadoo Private Island. All of them are excellent resorts! Gili Lankanfushi is accessible via a short 20-minute boat from Male International Airport. It is a tiny coral island in a crystal blue lagoon, With just 45 overwater villas, Each villa is designed with the utmost attention to detail, and built to be environmentally friendly. We stayed at the Residences with Pool, This spacious villa is elegant and cozy. Outside the villa it has spacious sundeck area and infinity pool with ocean view, It is perfect for the vacation! We celebrated our 20th Anniversary at the Gili and enjoyed every moment! The food was wonderful with half board, Breakfast was a treat every day with a wild selections and dinner were delicious, We had dinner at Indian Tandoori night, Japanese Teppanyaki, Asian Street Market and Brazilian BBQ night. Dhigurah (which means Long Island in Dhivehi) is considered one of the most beautiful islands in the Maldives + was voted in the world's 50 best beaches! This unique inhabited island, located in the South Ari Atoll, is a favourite by tourists and locals because of it's: - big blue lagoon - direct access to Manta Rays + Whale Sharks - house reef filled with tropical fish, turtles + even small sharks - amazing dive schools - island length (super clean!) bikini beach - excellent affordable guesthouses + hotels - endless sand bank Dhigurah is 3.2km long + on average 180m wide, with the most unbelievable sand bank at the south end of the island. To get to the sand bank you can take a walk down the beach, or borrow a bike to ride through the jungle! If you're a lover of candy floss skies (I mean who isn't?!), you'll enjoy being able to see a perfect ocean sunrise + sunset from each side of the island, just a 100m walk apart. Some activities you can do while visiting Dhigurah are: - fishing (+ BBQ'ing your catch of the day for dinner!) - snorkelling + diving - romantic dinner on the sand bank - take a day trip to a neighbouring resort island - water sports - jet ski / paddle boarding / kayaking - cooking with the locals This magical Maldives island is a true paradise. The Maldive Islands are a series of coral atolls built up from the crowns of a submerged ancient volcanic mountain range. All the islands are low-lying, none rising to more than 6 feet (1.8 metres) above sea level. Barrier reefs protect the islands from the destructive effects of monsoons. The rainy season, from May to August, is brought by the southwest monsoon; from December to March the northeast monsoon brings dry and mild winds. The average annual temperature varies from 76 to 86 °F (24 to 30 °C). Rainfall averages about 84 inches (2,130 mm) per year. The atolls have sandy beaches, lagoons, and a luxuriant growth of coconut palms, together with breadfruit trees and tropical bushes. Fish abound in the reefs, lagoons, and seas adjoining the islands; sea turtles are caught for food and for their oil, a traditional medicine. Check out other videos too. Epic diving in the southern atolls of the Maldives, the encounters with mantas, whale sharks, grey reef sharks, silky sharks, hammerheads were amazing. Thanks to Omar and Axel Horn of Diverland Gan and the fantastic crew of the Carpe Vita, especially to our guide Ibbe Abdulla. The very last footage of the whale shark was taken from the deck of the Carpe Vita with Panasonic lens 2.8 35mm cropped equal to 80mm FF and edited with timeramp in FCPX. When you hear about Maldives, you all think of white sand beaches, bluest waters, resorts, and honeymoons. But Maldives is more than that - local experiences, interaction with marine wildlife, and lifetime memories from a tropical wonderland. You do not need a honeymoon to be in the Maldives because the Maldives is more than just about all-inclusive resorts and super expensive lifestyles. A few years ago, local islands opened for tourism, meaning guest houses and simple hotels are available for you to enjoy a piece of pure paradise. Budge traveling is definitely an option now - but "budget" for the Maldives means $100-150 per day is easy to spend here, especially if you are moving too often from island to island. Still, it is more budget-friendly than $500-2500 resorts per night. The last week has been super special here, with the spectacular colors of the ocean, the opportunity to swim with sharks and turtles, and seeing plankton light up the water during the night. Also, it is an opportunity to taste the island life to see how locals live here while keeping their religious values and creating opportunities for foreigners to enjoy the sand islands that corals built up in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
