Is this another Bitmain home miner rort, One thing is for sure, Bitmain don`t give a damn about the little guys.
Hope XMR can somehow deal with this.

Well with all the releases of these altcoin miners I rather stick with s19s L7s because incase it gets damaged ext.. there are parts available for it everywhere unlike the rest if anything happens to them that's gonna be really hard to fix like the K7 u got it's not only you that got a faulty one even Vosk Coin So To be honest Until they are released and went out to the public it's not worth it getting one especially since they aren't asic chips that's without taking into consideration xmr s take on this
I just hope bitmain isn't just pushing out asics as fast as possible without making sure they don't have any defects

Based on the stats, it does appear the chips are CPUs. If this is the case, it will be very difficult for XMR to succesfuly fork. Really sucks, as i mine and use xmr often. Cant wait to see XMR teams's response to this.

I saw the Bitmain twitter post this morning. I don’t even know what to think about it. Like I’m hesitant to even consider what could happen with this. I think ill just wait to see what all comes of this one! 😅

Hard to even call this an ASIC honestly. It's right in the title, RISC-V, that's a CPU architecture. So it sounds like they made their own CPU core design based on RISC-V and crammed a bunch of them in a box. Should be able to mine many more algos in the future, they just need to write the software and roll it out as an update. Definitely gonna be interesting to see how this shakes things up that's for sure.
